Information Sent Directly
Search terms
A name or location entered into the public-record search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Boundary County Busted Mugshots does not store or maintain a search-term log on its own pages. The provider may handle the request under its own privacy notice.
Messages
An email or contact submission is kept so a response can be prepared and a conversation can be followed. Those messages are not shared outside the operating organization unless disclosure is required by law, a valid legal order, or a service needed to deliver the response.
Technical Data from a Visit
Standard web-server and analytics systems may receive technical details when a page loads. Depending on the service configuration, that information can include:
- IP address or an approximate network location;
- browser type and version;
- device category and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring page, if a browser supplies it; and
- date and time stamps.
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies may help measure page use, remember a setting, support a partner tool, or understand which pages are useful. Browser controls can block or delete cookies. Some features may work differently when they are disabled.
How the Information Is Used
Information is used for ordinary operation and maintenance, including:
- keeping the pages available and responsive;
- sending a search request to the appropriate partner service;
- understanding which public-record explanations help visitors;
- finding errors, abuse, and technical problems; and
- showing advertising that may be relevant to general interests.
The pages do not host a jail roster, booking-photo gallery, or court database. Search information does not turn the service into a government records custodian.
External Sites and Providers
Pages may link to the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office, police agencies, jail records routes, the Idaho court portal, state corrections, federal locators, local publishers, and third-party search tools. Each destination controls its own data handling after a visitor leaves these pages. Read the destination’s privacy notice and terms before submitting information.
Advertising and search partners may use cookies or similar methods to measure activity across more than one website. That tracking occurs on the partner’s systems and is governed by its policy and available controls, not by this page’s technical settings.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold by Boundary County Busted Mugshots. It may nevertheless reach the following parties when needed for a stated service or required by law:
- the search provider that handles a submitted query;
- analytics or hosting services that measure and maintain the pages;
- advertising networks and their measurement partners; and
- law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order or other lawful demand.
Security Is a Best Effort
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information under the operator’s control. No internet-connected system is completely secure, however. Boundary County Busted Mugshots cannot promise that a transmission or stored message will be immune from every breach, attack, or unauthorized access.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, a parent or legal guardian may use the Contact Us page to request deletion, subject to any legal duty to preserve the message.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on applicable law and the information involved, a person may ask for:
- a copy of personal data held by the operator;
- correction of inaccurate information;
- deletion of information that no longer needs to be kept; or
- an opt-out from certain processing, cookies, or partner communications.
Requests should describe the information and the action sought. A provider that received a search query may need to handle a separate request under its own policy.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be revised when the service, partners, or law changes. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised practices.
